The Patchogue Fire District has an opening for a part-time Fire District Vehicle Advisor.
Any individual applying for this position must:
• Possess a valid New York State Class D or higher Driver’s License and must consent to providing an inquiry regarding their driving history.
• Have knowledge of basic gas and diesel engine functionality and maintenance, as well as hydraulic and pump systems.
• Have knowledge regarding maintaining vehicle maintenance records and reports.
• Be able to interact with and provide information to a variety of vehicle shops and service providers.
• Be able to provide reports, as needed, to the Board of Fire Commissioners and attend monthly Fire Commission Meetings.
• Be available, within reason, to respond to breakdowns and malfunctions in order to evaluate situations and make recommendations to the Fire Commissioners.
This individual will report to the Board of Fire Commissioners.
